HDMI, DVI and VGA allow a wide range of connection options. I tested it with a IMAX Blue Ray program. Bright, sharp true colors. My only bitch is I wanted to get another for a low profile case. One problem - windows xp could not install the HDMI audio as the driver was missing. Every time I booted it would detect new hardware and then say that nvhda32.sys could not be found. Went to EVGA web site and downloaded the latest drivers. Great the hardware was installed but then the dreaded BSOD would occur over, over, and over again!!!!. Uninstalled the card, researched online and found that others have also had this problem. Found nvhda32.sys and deleted, erased it. no more problems. Since I'm not using the HDMI connection I'm satisfied with its performance. This card had both HDMI and DVI so I bought it. It turns out that you can't use the HDMI and the DVI at the same time. Either the TV or the monitor had to be connected using VGA. If you don't need to use HDMI and DVI at the same time then go ahead and buy the card it seems to work fine. If you want to use HDMI and DVI at the same time then buy a different card. |
