I bought this a week ago and have been nothing but impressed with its performance. This card runs Fallout 3, Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4, Left 4 Dead, Dead Space, and The Witcher smoothly on medium settings (not to mention older games like KOTOR 2 which I can now run at Maximum settings!). If you have an ancient PC like mine (3 year old Celeron D 2.8 MHz) whose motherboard only offers standard PCI slots, then purchase this card. I recently upgraded to this card from the 6200 256 MB OC card, and the difference is immediately, and pleasantly, noticed. All applications run faster, smoother and, although I am sure this is only my imagination, appear more vibrant. This card is an improvement over the 6200 which, although workable if tweaked correctly, had crashing issues with some applications. I can't say enough good things about this card. Excellent product! I have an older PC in a low profile case that I wanted to make into a simple media center. Problem was the original video card was really old and didn't have the chops to work in that capacity, nor did it have drivers available for anything past Windows XP and I was going to run Windows 7 on it.

I bought a different low profile card with a fan on it, but the constant whine of the fan was horrible and distracting. That's when I stumbled into this card.

This is a great card, fits perfectly in my low profile case, and is totally silent. There are recent drivers for it that work with Windows 7. Truly, it was plug and play - stuck it in the computer and everything just worked. Not only that, but the price is totally right - I didn't pay hundreds of dollars for a card I won't get the value from.

If you have an older computer that only has PCI in it, this is a great choice. I totally recommend it.

Lets first start off with what system I have. I have this HP DC5100 small form factor computer with Pentium 4 3 GHz HT processor, 3 GB ram, and 40 GIG Hardrive. I recently installed Windows Vista Ultimate which runs good on it except for the on board video which would not let me run the Windows Aero and some other programs like Windows DVD Maker. I figured I would upgrade the video card for when my daughters would visit so they would have a decent computer to use.

The video card installed with no problems as long as you follow the instructions like disabling the on board video first in BIOS and then install the card and then install the new drivers in safe mode. The card does come with small profile kit so I cannot understand why Amazon has a small profile kit that it tells you to buy with it. Well, I waisted my money on that!
